Grading: |
A mandatory
ten-point multiple-choice quiz is given after each chapter of the text is
covered (eight quizzes total).
Only the first 60 points that you earn on your quizzes will count
toward your course grade. Quiz
problems are taken directly from end-of-chapter problems in the text. At the end of the semester you will
encounter a cumulative final exam which will also be based on end-of-chapter
problems in the textbook. The
final exam will be worth 40 points.
No late makeup quizzes will be given without written documentation of
an emergency situation from a third party. Makeup quizzes for other circumstances can be taken in
advance of the regular quiz date by arrangement with me. Makeup quizzes need to be taken
SOON after quizzes are missed and are NOT given after May 3.
Total grading breakdown is below: |
